Hurray!

Noah finally decided to go to his Sunbeam class. He woke up yesterday and asked me if it was church day. I told him it was and he told us he was going to go to his class. He has told us this before and started to cry at the door so we were not optimistic. We continued to get ready and I asked him if he was going. He asked if Dad was going to go to Noah's class to. I told him that daddy would drop him off and then daddy was going to daddy's class. He said ok. We get to the parking lot and he asked me if he got to play with toys. I started thinking that he was not going to go. Dan went off one way and I went the other. After RS I went to go and find Dan and was sure that Noah would be with him. I found him and no Noah. He went to his class! During Sunday School I thought they would bring him in but he sat all through sharing time as well. So almost October and he finally went. Who knows if it will repeat next week but we are keeping our fingers crossed!

Happy Birthday to Dan!

It is Dan's 38th birthday today. I am horrible and have no cake, no presents, no special dinner...etc. So, I thought I would wish him a happy birthday here and hopefully he will read it. The kids and I love you and appreciate all you do for us. You have had many trials throughout this life but you keep plodding along. We have had our ups and downs but I want you to know that I love you, I support you, I am proud of you. Thank you for all that you do for me. Happy Birthday!

Joys of Children

I had finished giving Kate a bath and had her wrapped in a towel. I went to get her some clothes and noticed that Dan had IM me. This is how we communicate with each other. So romantic I know! Anyhow, Kate was getting squirmy so I put a diaper on her and thought she could just crawl on the floor until I was done. That was my first mistake. Kate takes her diapers off. If she has pants that fall off, than you find her without pants or a diaper. It usually happens in her crib and I have had the pleasure of washing her bedding, bumper pad included many times. So, I should have thought the plan of letting her crawl with just a diaper on through a little more. I finish my conversation with Dan and I go to find Kate. Well there she was, standing naked in the living room, eating a toaster strudel I had made for Noah. She saw me coming and tried to "walk" away. I captured her, put clothes on her (onesies are the best because she can't undo the snaps....yet!) and she is now in her bed. The photo is from another day but this is pretty much the expression she had on her face.

Haircuts!

Dan gave the boys haircuts. Noah was getting to the point that the curl wouldn't stay in and he looked more like a lion with a crazy mane. He started cutting, and cutting and I know you will be suprised....

I had to include this picture of Kate. Not sure if she thought we were going to cut her hair or if she is just upset that it looks like this! She really has some fantastic hair days!

First Day of School

Jack started first grade last week. He was excited to start. We are looking forward to working with his teacher. We were disappointed with his kindergarten teacher so hopefully this one will be good. He was tested in reading and the teacher had to stop after the second grade level. Hopefully he won't surpass me in the knowledge area until at least Jr. High!
