Flying Kites

Dan bought Jack and Noah kites and it has been pretty good kite flying weather here. They go across the street to the church parking lot and it is perfect because they don't get caught on anything.

Kate and Noah both love the "Flushed Away" song (Billy Idol's Dancing with Myself). Kate will come up to you with headphones that she has found and start singing the song. Here she is jamming to Billy Idol.

Noah the Rockstar

Noah loves to pretend that he plays the guitar. We have moved on from using a baseball bat as a guitar to using the one from guitar hero. He was up on our table in our living room because of course he needed a stage and he is in a Buzz Lightyear costume otherwise he just wouldn't be able to jam. Here are some photos of Rockstar Noah.

Weekend Away

I went to Oregon this last weekend to see Wicked. It was fantastic. If you ever get a chance to see it go. I also got to visit with my Aunt Liz, Uncle Andy, Todd and Joelle and their cute little girls. It was nice being away for a little while. I got to sit and actually get through an entire movie without someone needing water or a blanket. Thank you to Aunt Liz and Uncle Andy!

Kate's Fantastic Hair Day

Kate woke up from a nap the other day with the most fantastic hairdo ever. I thought that I would share the joys of a little girl with lovely hair and no desire to have anything put in her hair like barrettes or headbands.

Dr. Seuss Day

This week was Dr. Seuss's day at Jack's school. Jack's 1st grade class did "Horton Hears a Who" for an assembly. Jack was one of four Vlad's. He is incredibly shy. He hates being in front of people. All morning long he complained of a stomachache. Being the wonderful mom I sent him to school. During the assembly he sat on the back row with his arms folded and looked down the whole time. Every once in awhile he would look up. He went on the stage with the other Vlad's and threw around the clover. The play was cute. Little hard to understand what they were singing about but they did a good job.

The Tormentor

Doesn't Kate look so sweet? Yep, sweet, sweet. However, that is her disguise. She is in fact the tormentor.

I was hoping that after Noah I had my wild one and I would get another calm one. Obviously I need to be taught a lesson in something because Kate is Noah Jr. She is the little sister from down below as Dan would call her. The funny thing is she torments Noah the most. I think because Noah and Kate are here together for most of the day. If Noah is playing with a race track she will put her foot on the track until Noah yells at her. She will take it off and look around and put it back on. If Noah wants to put a blanket on the floor and lay on it, she will wait until it is down on the ground. She will then run and lay in the middle. She does things like this all day long. She takes stuff she knows she isn't supposed to and look at you until you figure out what she has and then takes off running away with the item. Loads of fun. Noah asks me at least once a day if I can just put Kate in her crib.

She really is a sweet heart and will come up and give you kisses but then back in no time comes the tormentor. Oh well, what's a mom to do?
