Josh and Kate

I had to take Josh and Brianna back home to Idaho today. We are going to miss them. I think that Kate is going to miss Josh a lot...what do you think? She loves her big brother! Thanks for all of your help this summer Josh and Brianna!

Kate

I keep a bowl in my pantry that has snack foods, like granola bars, ritz bitz, fruit snacks. No candy, my kids already act like I feed them a bag full of sugar a day. It is on the floor so that my kids can reach it, I know great place for it. They can reach it that way. The boys leave the pantry door so Kate makes her way into it. She is obsessed with food I think. I catch her all the time in the pantry. Here she is looking for something yummy, I am sure!

Here she is holding a fiber one bar. Probably not the best selection for a baby, I think she gets enough fiber from paper she finds...If I am taking pictures than Noah has to be in one. However, he may also be giving Kate food. The other day he gave her a "gum" which is what he calls Starbursts. Again, probably not the best for a baby with no teeth. That was a fun thing to try and fish out of the mouth of Kate.

Fishing Trip

Dan took the kids camping and fishing a couple of weekends ago. I stayed home with Kate. Camping is not my cup of tea. I love fishing even more than camping. Sorry but what is the purpose of sitting on a rock with a stick in the water that entralls people? They went anyways and they caught quite a bit of fish. I guess Jack caught the most. The cheap fishing poles from Wal-Mart worked better than the nice ones we had so if you are a fishing person...

They than brought the fish home and here they are posing with the fish. I then had to cut the heads off of two of them with my hands covered with ziploc baggies. Nothing like the smell of fish and cutting heads off!

That is quite a few fish! Good job guys!

Go ahead and kiss the fish Justin, maybe it will be a princess. Or is that just with frogs?

Fun in the Sun

We went to go buy a "swimming cool" as Noah calls them the other day. Once I got to the store I realized there was no way I was going to be able to fit the swimming pool in the van unless I got one that you blow up. Those ones were a little bit out of the budget so we bought a sprinkler head instead. Noah kept crying that we needed to buy a swimming cool. Once we got home though and turned the sprinkler on under the trampoline, he changed his tune. Now every day we asks if he can jump on the tramoline with the sprinkler.

Angel or Devil?

Brianna took this picture of Noah. I love this picture because he looks like a little angel. Or is he?
Here is another picture of Noah. He loves Oreo's. A lot. We have to hide them from him otherwise he will eat the whole package at once. So this is where I found him one day.

Bath Time

Noah loves to take a bath. He will tell me all the time that he is "filty" and needs to take a bath. I had him in there the other day and he asked me if he could wear his "swimming mitt". I feel like I need to write a Noah to English dictionary just in case I have to leave him with anyone. Here is Noah in his "swimming mitt".

Katy loves the bath as well. She loves to play with the toys. I had her in there the other day and she was crawling around and found a duck. She looked at it for a long time and....

Crazy Kids!

Father and Kids Campout

In a lot of wards they have Fathers and Sons campouts but I think that there is a conspiracy in my ward where the women want to get rid, I mean have the fathers spend quality time with all their children. The women probably just want to go to the grocery store by themselves without children hanging off the cart, that is my dream at least. Either way, Dan took all the kids to the campout. Katy and I were (yeah!) left at home. While at the campout they were looking for fire wood and came across a rattle snake. Dan had all the kids with him so being the awesome outdoorsman that he is and using the only weapon he had, killed the snake with his cane. Yes, his cane. He pretty much hit the snake so hard that it killed it. Unfortunately for Dan it also broke his cane as well.


Here is the broken weapon used. Poor cane.

Here is a photo of the poor snake. They later brought the lovely thing home. Why you ask? I am still trying to figure that out.
