My Kids

My kids have given me joy, pain (during delivery!), sadness, frustration, stretch marks and birthing hips (I can't blame all the stretch marks on them since I had some in high school, but the birthing hips are all theirs), laughter, stress, craziness and occasionally peace.

I am so grateful to be their mom, birthing hips and all. They are such a joy to have most of the time. I look at them sometimes and can't believe that I get to raise them and share in their lives if but for a moment. I have been thinking about my mom for the last little which and I wish that I could tell my mom how grateful I am for her and all she did for me, but hoping she knows.

Going Private

For the three readers that I have, I am going to go private. It is a little bit scary where the traffic of my blog has come from. If the three people want to continue to read, let me know your email address in the comments or ca email me.
I also realize that it has been months since I have posted anything. I don't have the camera software on my laptop and have to upload them onto the desktop and then transfer. Since it is more than a pain to do that is why the lack of posts. I will get the program on this one so I can post things that have been going on.
I am going to go private in a week or so.

3 year olds lack of birthday concept = 1 Unhappy girl

It is so hard for kids when it is someone other than her birthday. They forget the fact that their birthday was a couple of months ago so this means they don't understand that they don't get presents this time. No amount of us telling her that "Christmas" (which is what Katy thinks Santa's name is) will bring her presents soon. All she knows is she wants presents now. This picture says it all.

Poor thing. I think I just shed a tear. No, wait that was from the laughter.

Regardless of the fact that she does not understand, "Christmas" will be bringing her presents so hopefully this look won't be on her face until another birthday rolls around

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving we go to my In-Laws house. Dan's 90yr old Granny was there. She is a little bit nutty but the kids love her. Hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving day.

Noah's Birthday

It was Noah's 6th birthday on December 2. He informed everyone that he was six. If you didn't a phone call with the news that Noah is indeed six, I just didn't have your phone number. Noah probably has the largest imagination out of my kids. That being said with Jack we have stuffed animals named Fun and Gallop. Here is Noah with his pet frog...Michael. Yep. Michael. Not one of his animals has a made up name. He has a Joe, James, Gordon, Andrea, Andy and I could go on.

My six year old, not to be confused with my three year old or my nine year old. He told me at least 100 times that he is six.

Jack's Birthday

It was Jack's 9th birthday on the 23rd of November. He is getting so big which means that I am getting old. Not sure how I feel about that. Here are some pictures.

Jack's birthday presents. My birthday is in December and I always made a big deal about having presents wrapped in birthday wrapping paper. As I was wrapping Jack's birthday presents and realized I didn't have enough to finish so I had to use Christmas wrap. Bad mom award for me.

Justin gave the boys a joint present. Laser tag remote control trucks. Really, really loud. Not so much a present for mom.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was yesterday, right? I am just a little behind with things. Oh well in the scheme of everything it doesn't really matter when I post pictures on here. For Halloween the kids were Alice in Wonderland, The Mad Hatter and Voldemort. Next year they are going as secret service agents which will involve no face paint or hair color which will lessen a panic attack by me. We can't get out of the house when it is dark for anything. It is always such a hassle to get the kids ready and by then I am yelling and impatient. I remember growing up and having my dad get so frustrated and pacing around the house on Halloween because we were never ready to go and now I am following in his pacing footsteps. Definitely secret service agents next year. Or I can get a power suit for Kate and she can be the president with her agents. Perfect! Here are some photos.

Happy Katy! She had so much fun. She would have gone all night long if we let her. Her entire bag was full to the top.

Creepy! He had all this clay on his face to make it look like he had no nose. He was very patient during the procedure.

It looks like he may be going to bury something in the bag he is carrying.

Notice how you can see a pile of candy? The kids were looking through their candy and I look down and I see what Katy is doing. We think that she is mildly OCD and there she was, putting her candy in a straight line. I didn't take a picture of it but we had a long line of candy across the living room. Yep. That's my girl!
